1/2 Upper Bordean House
II
House. Late C18, with substantial additions of c.1900. Brick walls of Flemish bond, rubbed flat arches, brick dentil cornice to parapet, stone coping and cills; north end wall of flint with brick quoins and bands, south end tile hung. Hipped slate roof to the front, tile roof elsewhere. Symmetrical north-west front of two storeys and basement, three windows. Sashes in reveals, large ground-floor bay brought forward at the north side. Brick porch with parapet, with reused wood doorcase; Adam style Order, with open pediment, three-quarter columns, arched opening with panelled reveals, radiating fanlight, and six panelled door. The substantial extensions have a larger scale, in Edwardian/Georgian style.
