6/36 Stable block 30m south west of Foxlease
GV II
Stable block. C18 altered C19. Brick, slate roof. 2 storey, 3 bay with lean-to to each end. Front has slightly projecting gabled central bay with full-height arched opening with arched part (on 1st floor) filled by C20 windows. Dentilled gable with clock-face. Running from each side or arch, raised 1st floor band. Bays each side have arched recesses on ground floor, 2-light casement in that to RH, 3-light window with boarded upper to LH. On 1st floor to RH 2-light casement, and 2 smaller similar to RH. Roof hipped. Each end tall lean-to (almost outshot) with arched opening, open to LH, and double doors and 2 part fanlight to RH. Included for group value.
