Cottage. C16; altered and extended C18, further altered 1989-90. Timber frame with plastered wattle and daub infill, painted brick at rear, and C20 cream brick in stretcher, bond to side, additions (replacing cob ). Roof uncovered at time of inspection (formerly thatch). 1½ storeys; 3-bay C16 centre, with C18 bays added to earth end, these rebuilt late C20, C16 part has C20. 2-light window on left, 2-light casement on right. End bays each project slightly and have a C20 2-light window. 4 swept -roofed dormers, Formerly a central ridge stack. Rear: central C20 plank stable door with 2 C20 windows to left and a 2-light casement on right. Interior: not inspected, but has exposed timber framing, central fireplace (chimney removed) and roof timbers showing that roof was originally hipped over the central C16 part.

WOODGREEN SU 11 NE 6/90 Yew Tree Cottage II

Cottage. C16 altered and extended C18. Timber-frame with brick, painted, and cob, thatched roof. Small it storey, 3 bay C16 building with C18 hip- bays added to each end, that to RH outshot to front. Front has plank door in centre bay and LH hip-bay. 2-light casement in other bays and hip-bays. Tall eyebrow dormer with 2-light casement over RH bay. Steep-pitched roof has ridge that lowers to RH bay, and is swept-down each end and over RH outshot.
