SU 10 NE RINGWOOD COWPITTS LANE North Poulner 5/22 Waterditch

Cottage. Early C17 altered C18 and C20. Timber-frame with wattle daub and brick infill, painted, thatch roof. 1½ storey, 3 bay and smoke bay with C20 bays at one end and addition to rear. Front has to LH of centre planked door with inserted light, in smoke bay. Each side C20 restored 3-light casement, similar 2-light in RH bay. To LH old ledged door in single storey link to C20 bay which has similar casements. On 1st floor of cottage to LH bay C18 4-light eyebrow dormer with remains of bracket to oriel window under. Above RH of centre bay 4-light C17 mullioned eyebrow dormer and 3-light similar over REI bay. All windows have diamond leaded-light. Roof half-hipped with large ridge stack above door. Inside most of frame exposed with large C18 fire-place in RH centre bay and parti- tion down middle of RH bay and between it and other bay, with date of 1623 in plaster infill.
