8/42 Dovecote 15m NW of Marwell Hall
GV II
Dovecote. C18. Rubble flint with some reused stone, brick dressings, old plain tile roof. Square on plan with 3-centred arch doorway on one side with nesting boxes in opposite wall (which is much thicker having internal brick skins) these have been mostly bricked up. Other sides have a 2-light casement with segmental head. Roof hipped with wrought iron weathervane. Inside converted to dairy in C19 with patterned tile floor and remains of tiling on walls, with plaster above, and ceiling inserted.
