5/40 Manor Farmhouse II

Farmhouse. C17, rebuilt and extended C18, remodelled C20. Timber-frame core, brick partly tilehung, roof plain tiled. L-shaped building consisting of 2 storey, 2 bay block of early C18 brickwork outshot to rear, with lower 2 storey, 3 bay service wing added to front to left of centre. Left side has C20 bow windows to end of main block with casements in end of rear outshot. Service wing has outshot enclosed porch at end against main block with C20 door in end, windows on side and gabled dormers above, and casements in other bays. Dentilled cornice and hipped roof to older part, with large central ridge stack. Lower wing roof half-hipped. Inside older block, large fireplace with baking oven, and in outshot to rear C18 staircase and early C18 cupboard beneath.
