ST THOMAS STREET 1. 1833 (West Side) Chernocke House SU 4729 SE 5/244 II GV 2. Early/Mid C18. 3 storeys and basement. Red brick walls. String between ground and 1st floors. Moulded wood cornice. South front part mathematical tiles. 5 windows. Good door with plain surround, scroll brackets and moulded arched pediment, obscured by glazed approach from street. Sash windows with glazing bars in rubbed heads. Hipped old tile roof. C19 wing on North front. All the listed buildings in St Thomas Street form a group. Chernoche House shall be amended to read Carlisle House.
