C14 gateway (one of the 2 city gates remaining) with Church C16, built
over. Gateway Ancient Monument. Stone and flint, interior -open timber
roof. Two pedestrian entranced from C18, brick arches. Battlemented
parapet. The church above has small windows from circa 15(X). Plain timber
roof. Restored and re-furnished in 1971.
The Kingsgate forms a group with Nos 1 to 3 (consec)
