Inn, now 2 houses. C17 core refronted C18 with C19 additions and alterations. Timber-frame core, refronted in brick, colourwashed, and rendered brick C19 addition, old plain tile and slate roofs. 2 storey, 5 bays with tall single storey 3 bay C19 addition to right. At left end 6 panel door in segmental head under flat hood. In 2 left bays C20 3-light casement under older segmental head, and above tall C19 2-light camber-headed casement. Dentilled eaves, 6-panel door under flat hood in centre bay and in right bays 2 12-pane segmental-headed sashes with segmental-headed casement between and sign board over. On 1st floor above door small 12-pane sash and 2 large similar sashes in other bays. Wrought iron bracket for inn sign at right end. Gabled 2-light dormer on roof between right bays, right end stack, and ridge stack between left bays. C19 extension has altered C19 2-light tall windows in moulded architraves each side of slightly projecting centre bay with tiled roof now with C20 2-light casement. Roof of extension slated. Formerly The Volunteer Inn.
