8/14 Cherry Tree Cottage

II

Cottage. Circa 1900 by G H Kitchin. Brick with some scantling timber-frame, old plain tile roof. T-shaped cottage, end on to road. Road end of 2 storey and 2 bay wing with projecting to right end bay of main body of cottage, with outshot hip-roofed porch to its left side with hip roof outshot continuing across front of wing. Top-glazed door in porch and on front of right bay narrow outshot with window carried round left corner and roof carried round central external stack. Above porch, wall timber-framed with herringbone brickwork and 3-light casement. In left bay 3-light segmental head casement on ground floor and 3-light casement above. Roof hipped with wide over- hanging eaves supported on wrought iron brackets. External stacks at left end and to front of right bay.
