13/26 Nos, 1 & 2 Meadowside Cottages

GV II

House now pair of cottages. Cl7 refaced 1796 on tablet. Timber-frame with plaster infill encased in flint with brick dressings, thatched roof. End on to road, 3 bay Cl7 house with wide bay added to road end and outshot added to one side when refaced. Garden side 1 1½ storey, 4 bay, with added bay at right end. C18 planked door in solid frame to left of centre, with pent-roofed hood. 4 C19 2-light segmental headed casements with brick bands at top and bottom, except to smaller right window, which is on lower level with C19 planked door to right of it, and bands stop to left. Above 4 Cl9 2-light eyebrow dormers set on brick band at wallplate level, that to right is set lower cutting band. Roof half-hipped to right and hipped to left. Stacks on ridge above central door and on other side of ridge at right end.
