Lych gate 85 m S of the
Church of Our Lady
GV II
Lychgate. 1918 built as war memorial. High plinth of dressed stone and flint
chequerwork, timber-frame, plain tile roof. Rectangular plan open through centre
each side of opening full height timber posts with pair of gates between front
posts. On wall each side 6-light opening with diamond mullions and corner posts
sides similarly treated. Posts have carved panels and wallplate has inscription.
Roof hipped with wrought iron cross on top. Inside inscribed copper plate.
