A house of several phases, beginning as a standard C18 house with a symmetrical south front of two storeys and attic three windows: a central sash remains and below it the arched opening of the doorway, with a flight of stone steps: the side windows are early C19 sashes and one (north side) French window: the attic section was re- built in the late C19 with gables at each side and a central dormer with pediment: a porch was also added, with a gable of similar ornamental design. The east elevation (from south to north) shows the three main phases of development, of two storeys, 3.3.2 windows, each part having slightly different details, but the roof part all of the late C19. The north and west elevations are irregular, with lower service wings at the west side: walls of flint as well as brick, with altered features.
