GV II

Small country house. Early C18 with early C19 and C20 alterations. Brick and sandstone ashlar, slate roof, lateral brick stacks. East front: three storeys, stone coped parapet, moulded stone cornice, sill bands to first and second floors, ground floor of ashlar also with a sill band; chamfered quoins; five windows: 12-pane early C19 sashes with the panes of unusual proportions, horizontal rectangles, with rubbed brick heads; ground floor " windows have wedge lintels, central entrance with portico of two pairs of Tuscan columns supporting canopy with moulded cornice; to left of main block an early C19 extension to two storeys; stone coped parapet, moulded stone cornice, chamfered quoins, sill bands; windows as in main range. Interior: main staircase has turned balusters, two to a tread and carved string; a number of rooms on the ground floor have panelling of uncertain date; most main rooms have plaster cornices apparently early C18.
