House, now two houses. Early C18 with C20 alterations and
additions to rear. Rubble stone with stone dressings, flush
quoins and chamfered plinth, painted to front elevation.
Steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone coped gables on plain
kneelers and central brick ridge stack, plus coved eaves
cornice. Two storeys plus basement and garrets, three bays with
lobby entrance plan. Basement has 2-light recessed and
chamfered mullion windows, both now partly blocked, to either
side of three semi-circular stone steps with moulded nosings.
These lead up to a tall moulded doorcase with a raised keystone,
cavetto moulded pediment and C20 half-glazed panelled door with
a raised and fielded panelled overdoor. To either side there
are C20 glazing bar top hung casements in similar moulded
surrounds with cavetto moulded pediments and raised keystones.
Above there are two similar windows in moulded surrounds with
pediments but without keystones and between a central blocked
pedimented opening with a plain raised surround. Rear elevation
has double gables and similar pedimented windows, also with C20
additions. Interior has panelled doors, ovolo moulded ceiling
beams and the original winder staircase to the back of the
central stack.
