Details
SK 43 SW PARISH OF ELVASTON THULSTON LANE 2/41 (East Side) 17.6.80 No 7, Kiosk Cottage II Pair of cottages, now a house. Early C18, altered and extended in C19, with C20 alterations. Red brick with plain tile roofs and dentilled eaves bands, also with one brick ridge stack and one brick side wall stack. Two storeys and three bays with single storey, single bay part to south. Main elevation has a gabled open porch covering a segment headed doorcase with plank door to south, flanked by a flat headed 3-light; horizontal sliding, glazing bar sash to south and a similar 2-light window to north. Beyond to north is a blocked segment headed doorcase and a similar smaller 2-light window. Single storey part to south has two blocked segment headed doorcases, that to south now partly filled by 2-light casement window. Above to north there are three flat headed 2-light small pane casements. Interior has stopped chamfered ceilings beams and an inglenook fireplace with bracketed stone fireplace within.
