Farmhouse. C17, extensively rebuilt mid C18. Red brick, plain
tile roof, brick gable stacks and brick coped gables with plain
kneelers. Lower hipped roof wings to north and south. Dentil
eaves cornice. Two storeys. East elevation of 1-3-1 bays.
Three bay centre part taller and slightly set back. Central
doorway with C19 half glazed door under a wedge brick lintel.
Flanked by glazing bar sashes under wedge brick lintels. Three
segmental arched glazing bar sashes above, the centre one
narrower. Circular Nottingham and Derby Insurance plaque above.
Lower square projecting wings on either side, each with a
glazing bar sash under a wedge brick lintel to the ground floor
and a 2-light casement above. Low sandstone wall surmounted by
iron railings encloses the front of the central section. The
interior has exposed beams at the north end and the remains of
an inglenook.
