GV II
Lodge at entrance to the grounds of Parke House. Early C19. Granite rubble with granite ashlar quoins; yellow-brick window-jambs. Slated roof with late C19 blue glazed ridge tiles, steeply hipped at each end and with overhanging eaves. Rear section has lean-to roof. Rendered brick chimney-stack in centre, just behind ridge of front roof. 2-rooms-deep plan. Single storeyed. Front is 2 windows wide. Windows are of 2 lights with chamfered wood mullions and leaded diamond panes; chamfered wood lintels. Side windows much plainer. Right-hand side has 2 windows, the left one blocked, the right one with a 2-light wood casement having 3 panes per light. Left-hand side has 1 partly blocked window; 4-pane wood casement having a 2- pane transom-light now occupies its right-hand side. To left, in the lean-to, a plank door with small window cut into its centre. Interior not inspected.
