GV II

House at end of row. Mid to late C18. Fine red brick in Flemish bond, rendered returns, steep tile mansard roof. Slightly set back from street, the shallow street range has a gabled parallel rear range to the left. 2 storeys, attic and basement, 3 windows, symmetrical front; two 12-pane flat-roofed dormers above 12-pane sashes in moulded flush boxes, to thin wood sills. Central 6-panel door with plain transom light, and in pilasters to a deep frieze and cornice. A small plinth in Portland ashlar runs across the front, and a painted stone cornice band has paired brick dentils below a blocking course and coped parapet. A brick stack to each gable. The gable to the right is plain, and the rear includes a prominent square oriel with sashes. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 374).
