WORLDHAM HARTLEY MAUDITT SU 75 NE 2/12 Barn at Long Candovers GV II

Barn. Early C18 with C19 outshuts to south east and south west. Timber framed, clad in weatherboarding on brick and stone plinth. Half-hipped roof, originally thatched but now covered in corrugated iron sheeting. Central cart entrance with double doors, penticed on south side. 5 bay barn aisled to south west. Jowled posts with curved profile and angled queen strut roof with through purlins. Some original rafters without ridgepiece survive to south east, otherwise re- raftered. Wall frame has mid rail and diagonal braces. South west C19 extension conceals some original plank weatherboarding to barn.
