Details
ASHOVER SK3463 CHURCH STREET 1264-0/11/33 (West side) House to the south of The Cottage GV II House. C17 with C20 alterations. Coursed squared gritstone with ashlar dressings, quoins, central stone ridge stack and Welsh slate roof. East elevation of 2 storeys and 2 bays, with a central doorway having a surround with massive keyed jambs and a deep lintel, together with a C20 planked and studded door. Flanking the doorway are stacked 2-light windows. Those at first-floor level are of 2 lights with recessed chamfered mullions; the southern ground-floor window is of the same type, but the remaining ground-floor opening, formerly a 2-light window, has been deepened, and the mullion removed to be replaced by a C20 sash window. Listed for Group Value.
