IDEFORD CHURCH ROAD, Ideford SX 87 NE 4/88 Chest tomb and railings about 9m - east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary

GV II

Chest tomb. Circa early/mid C19. Low freestone chest with oversailing lid (inspcription and date illegible), surrounded by iron railings of round section with vase-shaped finials, the corner rails with more elaborate finials. An unusual example in the region of a chest tomb complete with railings.
