Double depth plan with central stairhall and 2 probably larger principal rooms at the front and service rooms at rear, kitchen probably behind left-hand front room. 3 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window facade. The left and right-hand windows are original tripartite bows of 28-pane hornless sashes. The ground floor ones have a small dentilled cornice above. At centre are 2 original 12-pane hornless sashes. The second floor windows are smaller. Central doorway reached by shallow steps with original open pedimented porch-hood that has a Doric engaged column either side. Original panelled door has fanlight above with 'cobweb' pattern glazing bars. Above door is stone plaque engraved with "This house was built by T B Studdy in the year 1793". Under the eaves is a reeded cornice with intermediate recessed circles. Symmetrical 3-window rear facade with original 15-pane tripartite windows to left and right. At centre stair window is arched sash with Gothic tracery. 12-pane hornless sash above it. Interior inaccessible at time of survey. This is a very good quality late C18 house which remains virtually unaltered externally and is likely to contain good interior features of which the staircase may be of particular interest.
