Cottage. Probably C17, with late C20 additions. Whitewashed rendered cob and stone rubble; thatched roof, half-hipped at right end, hipped at left end; large projecting lateral stack on front with set-offs and rendered shaft. Plan: Single depth 2 room plan cottage, extended in the C20 by an outshut on the front at the left and a flat-roofed single-storey addition at the rear right. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front, the eaves thatch eyebrowed over the 2 first floor windows. C20 plank front door into outshut; C20 timber casements with glazing'bars; 2 C20 windows in right end wall. Interior: Not inspected but said to retain some exposed carpentry. An interior inspection might necesssitate revising the suggested dating. Forms an attractive thatched pair with Spindleberry Cottage (q.v.), at the top of Church Lane.
