House. Probably late C17, C20 renovations. Whitewashed rendered stone rubble and cob ; thatched roof, half-hipped at left end, hipped at right end; projecting front lateral stack with bread oven, rear lateral stack. Plan: Single depth range, with heated rooms to left and right, the centre divided between an entrance hall to the front and an unheated room to the rear, present internal partitions not necessarily original. Exterior: End on to the street. 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front with a C20 thatched porch to right of centre. 2 1-light C20 casements to the ground floor, one 2-light first floor C20 casement. The left end (to the street) has a 4-light first floor C20 casement and a C19 or C20 ground floor oriel on timber brackets with casement windows with glazing bars. The rear elevation has 1 ground floor and one first floor window. Interior: The left-hand room has an exposed crossbeam and joists, open fireplace with an iron lintel sandstone jambs and a bread oven. Roof: Not inspected.
