Rectory. Early C19, partly demolished and re-roofed in 1963. Cement rendered with a hipped concrete tile roof and brick stacks. The present house is approximately half its original size; it was truncated on the west side in 1963. The present plan is double depth, 2 rooms wide and retains its original entrance on the north side, formerly off-centre but now approximately central The entrance leads into a narrow passage with a central stair hall. 2 storeys. The entrance elevation (north) has an approximately central Regency porch:- a rusti- cated projecting bay with a pretty verandah carried on iron posts. On either side of the porch, under the verandah, 2-light windows with arched heads and intersecting glazing bars. Above the porch a 2-light window with an arched head and intersecting glazing bars was formerly in use as a glazed door leading on to a polygonal balcony above the porch. 1-light windows with cranked heads in square-headed architraves to left and right. The east elevation has a ground floor canted bay window to the left with pilasters and 2-pane lights. To the right a French window with a cranked head and spandrels. 3 2-light first floor casements have small panes, cranked heads and spandrels. The south elevation has a 2-storey bow in the centre with ground floor French windows with cranked heads, glazing bars and spandrels. Above this a pair of similar 2-light casements. The left hand windows are 2-light Tudor arched casements with glazing bars. Interior: Many features of interest contemporary with the original building, including joinery, chimney-pieces and ornamental plaster friezes. The principal room on the south side is oval with an Aclam style chimney-piece. In spite of the drastic alterations of 1963 the Rectory retains features of special interest. An illustration of the pre 1963 building is in the possession of the incumbent and shows a verandah on the east side and the porch complete with its ironwork.
