ELDERSFIElD CP MOOREND ROAD SO 83 SW 7/88 Moorend Farmhouse and outbuilding adjoining to north in same range GV II

House and outbuilding. Early C19 with C17 and earlier remains. Brick and timber-framing with concrete tile roof to house and clay tiles to outbuilding. Newest part, at the right, of two storeys and two bays. Windows are timber casements, those on the ground floor with segmental heads. Door between bays. Adjoining to the left is one bay of timber-framing with brick infill. It is of one storey with an attic which is lit by a dormer. Door to the right. The outbuilding, adjoining to the left, has a wide doorway to right and a dormer above. Its front wall is of brick with some framing visible. Chimney at left of two-storey part. Exposed in the left-hand gable wall is a cruck truss. A wing to the rear of the house has a second exposed cruck truss. Interior: not accessible at the time of survey (June 1986).
