- II
Farmhouse. C17, altered C18 and refaced mid-C19. Timber-framed mainly with brick infill, some wattle-and-daub, brick later additions and refacing, sandstone plinth, tiled roof. Irregular plan, former L-shaped C17 house with main block aligned east/west facing south and wing extending to north at west end with C18 and C19 additions to west and to rear giving lean-to with catslide roof. West gable end stack and lateral stack to rear enclosed by catslide. Two storeys, attics and-cellar; south front, refaced with brick, dentilled eaves cornice, three windows with segmental polychrome brick heads and 4-light casement windows flanking central 2-light window, square-headed labels to similar windows on ground floor flanking central doorway with pilasters supporting cornice, plain overlight and half-glazed door, C19 forward projecting former farm office to right with similar 4-light window and hipped roof. Square panelled framing revealed at rear and to west gable end, largely intact though enclosed by later additions, weatherings to west gable. Interior contains fine moulded ceiling beams in room to right of entrance.
