House. C17, altered C20. Timber-framed with painted brick infill, sandstone plinth and external stack, slate roof. Three framed bays aligned east/west facing north, central entrance and external stack to east gable end; C20 lean-to additions to east of north front and to west gable end. Single storey and attic, two C20 gabled dormers, north entrance front obscured by C20 additions, two C20 windows flank C20 glazed door, further single casement window in west addition; framing partly revealed to west of north addition and at rear (south), largely complete; three square panels from sill to wall-plate. Formerly recorded as cottage and barn in single range by Royal Commission (RCHM Vol II, p 4, item 8).
