4/285 John Wheeler monument about 7 yards south of the central lancet of the south aisle of the Church of St George

GV II

Chest tomb for John Wheeler, died 1814. Sandstone ashlar. Moulded base and capping, the latter gently hipped; flat end panels curve outwards beyond the planes of the side inscription panels. One of a group of four chest tombs, the others being for Barrett (qv), Burrup (qv) and Hooper (qv).
