House. C16, substantially rebuilt and enlarged in late C18 and early C19. Early part is of sandstone with sandstone dressings; later part, brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Smaller C16 part attached to north-east corner of main C18 block which is rectangular in plan and aligned north- west/south-east. North-east elevation of main block has three storeys over cellars, six by three bays, the second left bays being more widely spaced than the others, glazing bar sashes, porch of two pairs of Tuscan columns beneath pediment set in continuous balustraded parapet with corner finials; two subsidiary bays to the right are of two storeys, and attached to them at right angles is the early C16 part with canted oriel window and battle- ments. The return three-bay south end of the main block has a three-storey canted bay window. Interior: reported as having a flying staircase (BoE, p 260) and C17 wooden chimney-piece and panelling (RCHM Vol II, p 130).
