Barn and stables about 25 yards east of Stocks House

Barn and stables. Probably C17 and late C18. Rubble, timber-frame, plaster
and woven infill panels, weatherboards, refronted in brick to north, plain
tiled and pantiled roof. T-plan, head facing north, consisting of three-
bay barn aligned north/south with one-and-half-storey, two window brick
fronted cross-wing aligned east /west. North/south part: high rubble plinth
with three panels to wall-plate, woven panels to top two, central opposed
entries to middle bay. North part: C17, framed gable to west; north
elevation of brick has brick plat band, three segmental-headed openings to
ground floor, two square pitching holes to first floor, entrance to left
centre. Interior: of north/south part has trusses with angled braces to
principals, the one to south of opposed entrances has two parallel raking
struts.
