Farmhouse. Probably C17 with late C19 alterations and extension. Sandstone rubble, timber-frame, tyrolean finish render to centre and left upper floor, slate roof, two local type external stone stacks to rear. T-plan with its head facing north, C19 brick and timber-framed extension to west, east arm over cellar. Two storeys, three windows to South elevation: central arm has brick plinth and late C19 canted bay window with a 6-light casement to each facet; 6-light late C19 casement to left hand side of ground floor and 3-light above; contemporary 3- and 2-light casements to right of entry in right arm which has c1900 glazed door under hood. C19 extension to left has brick panels in re-used timbers. East elevation has canted bay window similar to that on south side. The lateral stacks on the rear elevation are very large, the eastern one with multiple stepping. Interior: run-out chamfer stops to beams of kitchen in west arm, straight wind-braces to roof above it. Principal east room, over cellar, may be C18 addition. Trusses of main range behind projecting arm have cambered ties on arch braces and queen posts to collars. Principal ground floor room of projecting arm has C17 cupboard in niche to west side.
