II
Farmhouse. C16, altered and enlarged C18 and late C19, altered C20. Part timber-framed rear wing with some wattle-and-daub infill remaining, C20 weatherboarding and further C20 cladding, sandstone rubble plinth, painted rubble to main house, slate roofs. L-shaped plan extending to south and east, main front facing west, large stack at junction of L and further external stack to south gable, central entrance to main west front. Two storeys with string course to right (south) gable of entrance, two windows, 2-light casements to right and 2-light C20 casement and 4-light casement window below with cambered heads to left of slightly recessed doorway, partly-glazed door. Steps up to further doorway on first floor to left with cambered head, ledged door; access to former granary. Blocked 2-light and 3-light stone mullioned windows to ground floor at rear. Interior: Tudor arched headed doorway through to rear wing with stud and plank panelled screen, large open fireplace. Probably associated with establishment of Jesuit mission in the area in 1622.
