II
Farmhouse. Late C16 with C17 and later alterations and additions. Rubble, partially rendered, asbestos tile roof. L-plan, C16 part aligned north/south, later part added at right angles to east. C16 portion of 2 bays with chimney stack at north end, spiral staircase to west of stack; other wing probably C17 of about 3 roof bays, with former early C19 granary to east end. South front: gabled cross-wing to left with one range of windows, early C19 casements under timber lintels; other range: 2 gabled dormers to attic; 3 windows, C20 two- light casements; entrance to left. Gabled dormer to west return front. Interior: C16 cross-wing contains 3 cruck trusses, stopped and chamfered ceiling beams. The walls of this part were probably timber-framed originally.
