House. Probably second half of C16 with C19 and C20 additions. Timber- framed with plastered infill on high painted rubble plinth, slate roof. Two-room plan, with C20 lean-to extension at rear, rubble stack in west gable, C19 brick stack to east gable. Two storeys, 2 windows, 2-light casement to left, 9-pane fixed casement to right; ground floor: two 2- light C19 casements to left of entrance which has a raked roof supported on cast iron columns, brick jambs to door. Framing: close-studded on first floor to front and rear elevations, probably originally framed on ground floor and whole east gable, which has a C19 refacing, the west gable may have always been of rubble with integral stack. (RCHM 1, p 41, no 10 - addressed there as Middle Westbrook).
