Details
DINEDOR CP - SO 53 NW 2/18 Glebe Farmhouse GV II Farmhouse. Probably C17 with large mid-C19 extension. Timber-frame and brick, partly rendered. Tile and Welsh slate roofs with brick stacks. Irregular plan consisting of L-plan, C17 part with arms to west and south, and C19 extension to latter arm. Two storeys and attics. West elevation has C19 ledged door to left of unfenestrated gable front. Mid-C19 part to right-has one glazing-bar sash to each floor, to the right of which are a corresponding pair of blind openings, the ground floor one being a blocked doorway. Both pairs have cambered heads. East elevation has small area of exposed framing. Interior has one partly exposed cruck blade. Two-flight C17 oak dog-leg staircase with carved newel posts and splat balusters. Ceiling beams of ground floor rooms have lamb's tongue run-out chamfer stops. Roof has angle strut and pegged king-post trusses. (RCHM, Vol I, p 54).
