House. Probably late C16 with C17 additions. Timber-framing on stone plinth with slate roof. H-plan. Two storeys with attic. Framed mostly in square panels. Windows mostly C20 casements. Recessed centre of two bays, with door to left of second bay. Left-hand cross-wing rendered on ground floor with one window, with two windows on first floor. The gable truss has struts between tie-beam and collar and V-struts above. The right-hand cross-wing is independently framed and has timbers of lighter scantling forming smaller panels. The ground floor is blind. The first and attic floors have small windows. The gable truss has struts between tie-beam and collar and vertical struts above. Stone chimney stack projects from return wall of left-hand cross-wing. Large stack, with two flues, projects from rear wall of hall. Interior: not fully accessible at time of survey. Door opens into cross-passage with remains of original service room partition walls to right. Hall, to left, has chamfered ceiling beams. Late C17 stair has closed string and turned balusters.
