Details
EATON BISHOP CP - SO 43 NW 2/62 New Mill - II Mill, Now house. Probably late C17 to early C18 with later alterations. Sandstone rubble and timber-frame, partly brick-nogged, partly weatherboarded and partly rendered. Welsh slate roofs, half-hipped to south and brick stacks. T-plan with main range aligned north-north-east/south-south-west and cross- wings at north end. One storey and attics. North elevation has weatherboarded gable to left, partly underbuilt in brick with two off-centre ledged doors, one to each floor. Main range to right has two windows, raking-top 2-light late C20 dormers and ledged contemporary door to left. Exposed frame of main range is three panels high from cill to wall-plate with angle struts. East elevation has dentilled brick eaves cornice. Insurance plaque to left side of rendered upper floor. Ledged door in gabled late C20 porch to left-hand side. Interior access refused at time of resurvey (February 1986).
