3/98 Titley Cottage
- II
Cottage. Possibly C17 with C18 extension. Timber-frame with brick and plaster infill, corrugated iron roofs and external sandstone rubble end stack with detached brick shaft. T-plan with two-bay main range aligned east/west and addition to north. One storey and attic. South elevation has two windows, 2-light C20 steel casement to left and 4-pane mid-C19 window to right, external stack to left with apsidal bread oven to its rear. Interior has heavy collar supporting two posts to principals in main range. Titley Cottage was formerly known as Tidley Cottage. (RCHM Vol I, p 243).
