REDDITCH B BERROWHILL LANE (east side) S0 96 SE 3/21 House adjoining Upper Berrow Farmhouse to the I0.4.54 east (formerly listed as Barn at Upper Berrow Farmhouse)

GV II

Barn, now house. Cl7, altered mid-C18, and restored c1973. Timber-framed with brick infill on sandstone base, brick replacement walling and plain tiled roof. Three framed bays aligned north-east/south-west; external brick and sandstone chimney to rear of south-westernmost bay. Two storeys. Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate; no trusses visible externally. C20 windows throughout. Main north-west elevation: large 3-light window and a 3-light casement with a cambered head on the ground floor; 3-light and a single-light casement on the first floor and a skylight. Interior not inspected. Lean-to with catslide roof to rear of central and north-easternmost bay with main entrance at north-east end. Base of rear chimney enclosed within lean-to glazed addition. Also C20 wing and lean-to at south-west gable end linking house to Upper Berrow Farmhouse (qv). Included for group value.
