6/78 Cottage belonging to Mrs Warton about 10 yards west of Ivy Cottage

GV II

House. Early C18 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Brick, partly rough- cast with plain tiled roof. Single storey and attic with half-dormers; dentilled eaves cornice. Two bays; two ground floor 2-light C19 casements with cambered heads; two gabled half-dormers with 2-light casements; ledged and battened door with cambered head to left of right bay. At east gable end some old roof timbers revealed beneath roughcast and also possible timber-framing. Interior access not possible. C20 lean-to additions at left gable end. The building is situated adjacent to Ivy Cottage (qv) and formed part of the Amphlett estate. Moor Cottage adjoins the right gable end which has been altered during late C20 so as to be of no architectural interest.
