Barn, now church hall. Early C17 with early to mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed with brick infill on sandstone base; shallow-pitched slate roof. Five framed bays aligned east/west. Single level. Framing: two panels from sill to wall-plate with large swept braces (some of which appear to be reused cruck blades) and straight braces in lower corners of two original west end bays; tie-beam trusses with raking struts incorporated when building was re-roofed. South elevation: seven square 6-pane windows inserted in upper panels; central bay window, full-height with central door. Interior: arch-braced tie-beam trusses with raking struts. Lean-to addition at west gable end encloses main entrance door. Large C20 single-storey addition to north elevation (VCH 3 (i), p 11).
