7/26 Hayes Farmhouse II

Farmhouse. Early to mid-C18 with mid-C19 additions and mid-C20 alterations. Handmade brick, part rendered and part painted; plain tiled roof with massive ridge stack and west end ridge staak. 0riginal part of 2½ bays aligned east/ west with large external west end chimney; this chimney is enclosed by a single- bay addition continuing the main roof ridge. Single storey and attic with dormers; two-course band at attic level. North front elevation: ground floor has two 3-light casements andes rectangular light with metal bars to left; three C20 gabled dormers with 2-light casements, ledged and battened door to right in later addition. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior hall stop- chamfered main ceiling beams. Large fireplace in central bay. Halt-bay at west end was former dairy. C19 single-storey addition at west end.
