GV II
House, now three houses. C15, remodelled mid-C18, partly rebuilt late C19, with some late C20 alterations. Timber-frame clad in painted and rendered brick. Two framed bays (Nos 24 & 26) with a cross-wing to west (No 28). South front: two storeys, with attic to gabled cross-wing on left lit by a 3-light casement; three windows: 3-light casement to left under segmental head, other two are 2-light casements; ground floor: three 3-light casements, that to left under a segmental head; entrance to No 28 to right of left-hand window which has a wooden architrave under a segmental head and a C20 panelled door; entrances to Nos 24 and 26 between other two windows, each has a plain wooden architrave and a C20 half-glazed door. Interior: roof of Nos 24 & 26 smoke-blackened, which decreases from east to west, implying that there was a smoke bay at the east end, the smoke percolating through the roof; the central truss has two raking struts, the other two have two struts to collar and trenched purlins. Side wall of cross-wing exposed in No 26 has curved angle braces from wall-post to wall-plate.
