Includes No 2 Bear Hill (north side). House, now two houses and shop. C15, underbuilt in mid-C19 with some late C20 alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill, and tile roof. H-plan, hall range aligned north/south, cross-wing to south (No 2 Bear Hill) probably contemporary, north cross-wing secondary (but still C15); hall was originally open, now baffle-entry to south end of hall. East front: projecting cross-wings, all of two storeys, 1 + 1 + 1 windows; 3-light casements; round floor; left-hand cross-wing has a 2-light casement under segmental head and a blocked doorway; hall range: entrance to left has a wooden lintel and C20 door, roughly central 3-light casement, fixed casement to right; right-hand cross-wing: C20 door to left, 3-light casement to right, all under timber lintel. Framing: close-studding to first floor, both cross- wings were jettied, that to right has curved tension braces. Interior reported to have exposed timber-framing, including chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
