FLAMSTEAD CHEVERELLS GREEN TL 01 NE (East side) 2/6 Walls of Walled Garden - at Cheverells (100M to E of house) GV II
Walls of walled garden. C18, corner piers with ball finials rebuilt in C19. Red brick with blue brick headers, largely in Flemish-bond. Blue brick piers with red dressings and stone ball caps. A rectangular enclosure about 50M x 35M with walls about 3M tall and with plinth and brick-on-edge coping. Scarcement on inside at half height on S wall. Exterior has pilasters of same shallow projection as plinth. E wall has segmental arch over wrought iron gate. Interior largely occupied by a tennis court.
