Details
WOLVERLEY & COOKLEY CP BLAKESHALL SO 88 SW 2/137 Blakeshall Hall (formerly listed as Blakeshall House) 28.10.83 - II Country house. Possibly C18, remodelled and extended mid-C19 and late C19. Stuccoed brick with hipped slate roof. Two storeys, central break forward, parapet with balustrade to centre. Five windows: glazing bar sashes in shouldered and eared architraves, central window with segmental pediment. Ground floor: 15-pane sashes in simialr architraves with central portico which has Doric columns and moulded cornice, entrance behind has a moulded architrave fanlight and two-leaf half-glazed door. To right-hand corner a three-storey square-plan tower with balustraded parapet and modillioned cornice. Second floor with three-bay arcade, window to centre. First floor: glazing bar sash in architrave and ground floor with Venetian window. Angle between tower and house has a quadrant plan linking section.
