14/199 Fountain in Italian Garden about 50m NE of Moor Park
GV II
Fountain in Italian garden at Moor Park (q.v.) laid out c.1830. Early C18. Carved stone. Circular fountain with central feature. Intertwined dolphins on a frosted base support a moulded bowl with their tails. On this bowl rests a mermaid holding a smaller bowl on her head. Included for group value. See urns, putti, sundial and garden wall (q.q.v.).
