Row of 4 dwellings, probably a barn originally. C17, converted and
refronted late C18, altered C20. Red brick with some timber framing,
part weatherboarded. Tiled roof. 2 storeys. 4 window front, 4 entrances,
2 to left with plank doors and gabled hoods, 2 to right with later
gabled porches. Ground floor 3 light casements with cambered heads, some
C20 leaded lights. First floor 3 light casements and a central stone in
a moulded panel inscribed `King's Field Cottages'. Moulded brick course
to close eaves. Central cross axial stack. External end stacks with
offsets. Gable ends are rendered and weatherboarded. To rear
weatherboarding over rendered ground floor. 2 and 3 light casements. 2
gabled dormers. Lean-to outshut to rear. 1 storey outbuilding attached
to right. Interior: clasped purlin roof with windbraces.
